Windows of Glasgow
I got the opportunity to collaborate with 4 other classmates to compete an engaging window display for Glasgow City Heritage Trust. For this window we chose the theme ‘Preserving Glasgow: Historic buildings in the climate crisis’
We created fabric backdrops displaying colourful screen printed Glasgow tenement buildings imaging heat map colours. Infront showcases Glasgow tenement buildings laser cut showing rich details from the initial sketches.
Photography
As part of my work placement I got the opportunity to photograph the outdoor art which was created and designed by artist David Powell. The new Bruce's Web Arts and Augmented Reality Trail is an outdoor trail allowing visitors to discover nine new pieces of outdoor art using the Bruce's Web app with fun augmented reality elements and gaming challenges to commemorate the 750th anniversary of Robert the Bruce's birth in North Carrick, Ayrshire.
Paint Pour
As part of my creative course I decided to try paint pouring. Throughout this at home course, I got a bear statue, yellow, pink and black paint. After watching the tutorial videos I then pored the paint into a cup and let my experimental freedom roam.
Pottery
As part of my creative courses I decided to try a pottery workshop. Throughout this workshop I got a quick tutorial lesson explaining each step of the potters wheel processes and then got to try the wheel myself. The process was a lot harder than I thought taking my time and precision to work the wheel at the same time as moulding the clay.
