My name is Katy Harvey and I am a multidisciplinary designer from Ayrshire. I am currently studying BA (HONS) Design Practice at City of Glasgow College after completing my HND in Art and Design. As a designer, I really love the freedom of creating visually interesting designs showing off my skills and knowledge. I take inspiration in every opportunity available from workshops, group collaborations and individual study. I love the demanding pace of design work, meeting clients briefs and objectives.

My excitement for design and all things creative started when I was a younger. Getting involved within crafting activities, collaging out a magazine or doodling in my school books, I soon realised I had a passion for design. I was always encouraged by the people around me to stick at what I enjoy and try and pursue into something in the near future.

After leaving school in 2021, I completed my HNC and HND in art and design. I learned so much from the two courses by creating many pieces of work and getting excited about what opportunities are available to me in the near future. Now studying my design degree, I am hoping to develop my style, as well as learn new skills and techniques throughout the next two years.
