BA Design Practice- Collaborative 3D project
Within this portfolio displays my creative 3D installation, I completed and worked towards a class collaboration where I completed a square panel consisting of 49 wooden geometric shapes. Each wooden block consisted of a course of workshops cutting, gluing, sanding and painting. Once this installation was completed, it placed together to merge into sequence to create 20 large panels that then became one large 3D installation.
BA Design Practice- Collaging
Within this portfolio displays my work from a collaging workshop. I completed and worked towards a quick fire warm up of 3x3x3 collages only using 3 elements per page. I then moved onto my acrylic panel which I chose the theme of music using brightly coloured risograph prints to enhance the abstract layout. Finally I created a collage to fit the frame provided, this was more challenging to meet the frame dimensions.
BA Design Practice- Letterpress Printing
Within this portfolio displays my work of letterpress printing. The aim of this letterpress printing workshop was to create letterpress prints compositionally designed to a chosen song lyric or poem. Choosing the song lyric 'The city never sleeps' by Courteeners as when drawing my concepts and developments the letters of the lyrics fitted nicely in the design.
BA Design Practice- Risograph Printing
Within this portfolio displays my Risograph printing. The aim of this workshop was to create an analogue and digital collage composition design. Choosing a map from a location that has a strong significance to me whilst incorporating a month of the year in specific graphic font.
BA Design Practice-Typographic Journal
Within this portfolio displays my creativity of my typographic responses. Using letter manipulation to create visually interesting typographic designs. I used vinyl, screen-printing, paint, cut outs, stencils, newspaper prints to collage the letters to create a visually interesting type response. Using my previous mark making experiments to incorporate within my typographic responses added to the visual effects and created a bright eye-catching design.
