Collections

Towards the end of September 2024, my BA Design Practice class held a week long exhibition displaying our summer collections. "Cheers” this 3D design portrays my summer collection which was bottle corks.
I developed various ideas by experimenting with the cork: mark making, exploring cork as a material, duplicating and layering.
The background was made by dipping the cork into ink and rolling along the canvas to create lines that represent oak cork trees. Recycling and cutting the cork, I used the word cheers to represent a toast for special days.
